Before introducing the solution to the problem, let's first understand which models of BMW CIC system are available:
2009-2013 models use CIC system, the original car LVDS is 4PIN, and the main interface UI is designed as a list arrangement, which is intuitive and simple. All models of CIC system can use the same Koason BMW Android screen for installation, and the wires are the same. Different models need different bases. According to the size of the original car screen, select the corresponding car display in the Android factory mode.
How to select the car display, Click for details.
BMW CIC system models include: Z4 E89, X1 E84, X3 F25, X4 F26, X5 E70, X6 E71, 3 Series E92, 5 Series E60, 5 Series F10 F11, 5 Series GT F07, 7 Series F01 F02.
BMW CIC system models all have AUX function. Before installing the screen, you should connect the wires first. Select the AUX option on the original car interface and then return to Android to play music to see if there is sound. If there is sound, you don’t need to connect the "AUDIO OUT" line. Wrap the 3.5MM head of "AUDIO OUT" to prevent short circuits from touching other places. If there is no sound, you need to connect the "AUDIO OUT" line to the original car AUX hole (the AUX hole is usually in the armrest box) and test again if there is sound. If there is still no sound, it may be that the optical fiber is not transferred. Check the optical fiber.

For most CIC models, the sound can work normally after installing the Koason BMW screen, but for some very few CIC models, the AUX volume is at the minimum level and cannot be increased (this phenomenon has nothing to do with the installation of the Koason screen, and this problem will occur when installing any screen on the market).
There are two solutions to this problem:
1.Install an FM transmitter, input the audio of the Android screen to the FM transmitter, tune the FM transmitter to a suitable frequency (note: this frequency setting should avoid the frequency of the local radio, otherwise there will be conflicts), then enter the original radio interface and select the frequency band tuned by the FM transmitter to hear the sound of the Android. However, since the FM transmitter is easily interfered, and if the car is driven to other cities, there may be frequency conflicts, which will cause abnormal sounds. Therefore, we generally do not recommend using the FM transmitter.
2.Connect the computer through a special OBD tool and use the software to activate "AUX volume". This method is the most stable and reliable. Even if you replace the screen later, you don't have to worry about not being able to increase the AUX volume. After activation, it can be used permanently.
