One of our customers bought a KOASON 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLS W218 Android screen with wireless Carplay and Android Auto functions.
He encountered some problems when using it and asked us for help:

Q:

Dear sir, madam,

I installed my Android display which works pretty well. When I try to connect my phone with Bluetooth, it fails according to my iPhone but all apps appear on the display such as Waze , Spotify, etc….
Unfortunately no sound could be heard from radio system. I could have sound only through Mercedes Bluetooth as it worked before new system (with a better sound) but I cannot have applications on screen in the same time. Could you please help ?
My car is MB CLS W218 2014.
Warm regards

A:

Hello,

Because Carplay occupies the WIFI and Bluetooth channels, after entering Carplay, the Bluetooth on both the phone and Android screens show "no connection", which is normal.

In addition, I see that your phone is connected to several devices, which may cause you to have no sound when using Carplay, because the sound may enter other Bluetooth devices. Please try to ensure that other Bluetooth devices are disconnected when using Carplay.

Thank you.

Q:

Ok. Thank you.

Q:

Hi, there is still a problem I cannot receive and send phone calls as there was s no sound despite mobile seems connected even if Android device does not show it

A:

Is there any sound when you click the music icon on the home screen to play music?

Q:

No sound

A:

1.First confirm whether your car has optical fiber. If it has optical fiber, switch it. If not, ignore it. Click for details.
2. Select "AUX" status in the original car multimedia menu, and then return to Android to hear the sound.Click for details.

Q:

1.This I did

2.I do not have aux port in my car radio. Or I did not see it

A:

AUX or AMI, there must be one.

Look in the armrest or passenger storage box of your car.

Q:

This connector ?

A:

Yes, the one above the USB port is the AMI port.

Our accessories include an AMI adapter cable, one end of which is connected to the original car's AMI port, and the other end is connected to the "AUDIO OUT" of the power cable.

Q:

Ok. I will try next week. Does it solve Bluetooth issue too ?

A:

This is to solve the problem of no sound from Android Music and Carplay.
